Here is a list of free responsive email templates. There are single email templates and collections with multiple layout options. All of these templates are free.

Cerberus.

Cerberus is a small collection layout patterns for HTML email that includes Fluid, Responsive, and Hybrid templates. The code is meant to be edited, adapted, and built upon.

Slate

Slate is a collection of five responsive email templates, tested in Litmus. The templates are designed for business needs, such as newsletter, product update, receipt, simple announcement, and stationery.

 

Sendwithus Open Source Email Templates.

The Sendwithus Open Source Template project is a collection of free email templates created and managed by the Sendwithus community. Anyone may contribute new themes and templates, or make updates to the existing ones.

 

Responsive Email Patterns.

Responsive Email Patterns is a large collection of patterns and modules for responsive emails. Preview a layout and then grab the code. The collection is based on Brad Frost’s This is Responsive patterns.

 

MailChimp Email Design Reference.

Email Blueprints is a collection of HTML email templates that can serve as a solid foundation and starting point for the design of emails. They include template language elements that make them customizable when imported into a MailChimp account.

 

Zurb Responsive Email Templates.

Here is a set of five free email templates from Zurb, with newsletter, sidebar, and hero layouts. Each template comes with separate CSS and HTML, suitable for your email campaign tool.

 

Antwort.

Antwort offers responsive layouts for email that both fits and adapts to client widths, with single, double, and triple column templates. Antwort is meant to teach you how to do responsive layouts for email. That’s why source pre-lined HTML is now included.

Free Newsletter Template.

Here is a free multipurpose email template on GraphicsFuel by PSD2HTML. Fully compatible on 34 email clients and browsers, and tested on seven actual devices.

Passion.

Passion is a responsive, multipurpose email template on Pixel Buddha by DynamicXX.

MailPortfolio.

MailPortfolio is a responsive email template with a simple and clean design. MailPortfolio was tested with Litmus and Email on Acid.

Respmail.

Using MailChimp’s Email Blueprint as the foundation, this template by Charles Memud is an improved version with more row options, redefined structure, and platform fixes for Outlook, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, and more.

Mosaico.

Mosaico is an open source editor that lets you create responsive emails with an easy drag-and-drop interface. Mosaico itself does not define what you can edit or what styles you can change; it’s defined by the template. Choose from two templates to start: Versafix-1 and Versafluid.

    But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people
    could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text
    for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it
    out better?
